Obtaining Blue checkmark
To receive the blue verification checkmark (the official business account badge) on WhatsApp, your business must meet three main conditions:
1. Use of the WhatsApp Business API
Only businesses using the WhatsApp Business API are eligible for the official blue tick verification. Businesses using the standard WhatsApp Business App or regular WhatsApp Messenger do not qualify for the verification badge. The API is designed for medium and large businesses that need to manage a large volume of messages and automate interactions.
2. Complete and Accurate Business Information
Your business profile must be fully completed, accurate, and professional. This includes:
Business Name: It must match your legal business name and align with your branding.
Business Description: Provide a clear, concise description of your products or services.
Profile Picture: Use a recognizable logo or brand image.
Business Contact Information: Ensure your website, email, and phone number are correctly listed. Meta will evaluate your profile to ensure it reflects a legitimate and trustworthy business before approving verification.
3. Compliance with WhatsApp's Commerce and Business Policies
Your business must fully comply with WhatsApp's Commerce Policy and Business Terms of Service. This includes adhering to guidelines about the types of products or services you're allowed to sell on the platform. For example:
Certain industries, such as gambling, tobacco, and pharmaceuticals, may not be eligible for the verification badge.
The business must not engage in spam or violate any WhatsApp terms, such as sending unsolicited messages to users. Meta evaluates your business based on compliance with these policies before granting the official business account badge.
Important Note: Verification Badge and Sendra
While Sendra is an official partner with Meta, it’s important to understand that obtaining the blue checkmark badge(official business account verification) for WhatsApp is entirely under Meta’s control. Sendra can assist businesses in connecting with the WhatsApp Business API and setting up their profiles, but we do not have the ability to guarantee or influence the approval of the blue verification badge.
Meta has strict internal processes for granting the blue checkmark, and businesses must meet the eligibility criteria outlined by Meta’s policies. Verification decisions are solely at Meta's discretion, and even businesses using the WhatsApp Business API may not automatically receive the blue tick.
If your business meets all the requirements and adheres to WhatsApp's Commerce Policy, you can apply for verification, but the final decision rests with Meta.
